New Revenue Stream Available to Wi-Fi Hot Spot Providers, Mobile Network Owners and Other Network Owners with Launch of Aspira Networks
Aspira Networks Inc. Breaks the Boundary Between Network Owners and E-Commerce to Deliver Targeted Shopping Opportunities to Consumers at Individual Locations
PALO ALTO, CA — May 15, 2009 – Mobile industry veteran Mark Robinson launches Aspira Networks Inc. to connect network owners, such as Wi-Fi hot spot owners, mobile telecommunications companies, cable companies and other ISPs to the e-commerce traffic on their networks. This enables a new stream of affiliate retail revenue for network owners, contextually relevant shopping recommendations for retailers and a new opportunity for improved online shopping experiences enabling consumers to save money and time as they spend increasingly more time on-the-go between home and work.
Aspira Networks identified innovative business opportunities by removing the barrier between the network owner and the shopping traffic on their networks. In this tough economy more people turn to the web for the best deals and product research. 83% of online shoppers are influenced by discounts (Retailer Daily, Oct. 2008) and spend an inordinate amount of time searching for available deals while the network owners struggle to serve this increased demand. This is particularly true for the growing number of mobile shoppers relying on public Wi-Fi access points.
The company plans a Third Quarter 2009 availability of the first router deployment product, a suite of web-based consumer touch points for partners to customize with their own brand and content and retail affiliate relationships.
Future products and services for 2010 will include additional white label consumer touch points, additional deployment options, product specific recommendations and search and an interactive partner reporting tool.
Partnership opportunities are presently available in the U.S. and Canada.
